Bagasse plates and containers are also oven-safe if you’re heating food at temperatures of up to 250°F.

6. Aluminum Foil 

Aluminum foil is disposable and commonly used as plates, food packaging and other products. It can be used in ovens.

7. Cornstarch-based Bioplastic Plates

Some bioplastic trays are safe in some ovens, but should be checked for heat resistance before use.

8. Some Wooden or Bamboo Disposable Plates

Clearly labeled as oven safe or heat resistant, otherwise these materials may burn.


What Plates Aren’t Oven-Safe?

1. Plastic

You should never cook or bake in a plastic plate or dish because they can’t withstand high temperatures. If you put them in the oven, they’ll melt and/or release harmful fumes.

2. Paper
